We went to the desert! It’s very hot and deserty there, but it was an oasis so there was lots of shade once we finally got up to the mountainy part! Palm trees and rocks everywhere, and a little waterfall, and lots of scary cactusessesess.
My friends and I all ended up with the day off, so we made an impromptu trip up to the Anza Borrego desert. It’s about 2 hours from where I live, and we got to drive through these windy mountains, so that was scary but fun! The desert itself was pretty neat, but like most nature things, pictures don’t really show just how pretty a desert can be when you’re there in person, climbing around the rocks and lizards are scurrying around and stuff :3 Anyways, you can look up pictures if you want, but I’m sure you’d rather hear about the naughty-ish stuff we did while we were there ^_^
We carpooled up there in 2 cars, and I rode with my sister, Jason, and Aaron (who was driving). There wasn’t much traffic on the way up there, but my sister still found people to flash. Also, apparently there are lots of evil snakes in the desert like cobras and sand worms, so I kept watching out for those too!
It took about a half hour of hiking before we got to the oasis part, and it was much shadier because the mountain blocked the sun. This meant no sunburns! So at this point, my sister and I got everyone to take off their shirts :3 It sounds silly, hiking in bras, but it actually wasn’t bad! They should invent hiking bras!
The trail kept getting gradually steeper from that point on, so we just got as far as the waterfall. Maybe there’s more than one waterfall up there, I can’t remember now… but if there are, we didn’t get to them! Also, by waterfall, I mean a bit of water trickling off some rocks above, not an impressive waterfall like you’d imagine. Still, it was fun to play in! We all rinsed off in it, and it was kind of a secluded area so we all got undressed. We’re not nudists, it just sounded fun! It was a really pretty oasis, too, especially after the hot, plain desert before it. I’m weird, but it felt like being a forest nymph or something silly like that. I think it’s probably the first time we’ve had everyone completely naked for any length of time, too!
